REAL SHIFTING A FEW
The Daily Mirror seem keen to push the idea that Karim Benzema's transfer to Arsenal could still happen.
The paper reports that Benzema has been offered to Arsenal as 'part of a sensational shake-up at Real Madrid'.
They also reckon Real are keen to get rid of Benzema, Angel di Maria and Mesut Ozil as they try to fund a move for Luis Suarez.
And according to the Mirror, Arsenal are keen on all three men.
Meanwhile, The Daily Telegraph backs up this theory, reporting:
'Özil and Di María, however, would be available at a combined price of around £60 million and Arsenal are ready to bid. The complication for Arsenal is that the timescale is being dictated by Tottenham, with Real almost certain to keep both Özil and Di María unless they sign Bale.'
BALE DEAL STALLED?
And speaking of Bale, The Daily Mirror reports that the deal isn't quite as done and dusted as everyone perhaps thought.
According to the paper, Bale 'has been ordered back into training on Tuesday morning after the world's most expensive transfer descended into chaos.
'Furious Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy stepped in and stalled the £86million deal in protest at what he believes to be the "arrogance" of buying club Real Madrid.'
All sounds a little whiffy to us.
David Moyes, by the way, has denied Manchester United are the mystery club in for Bale, if that club is actually real and not part of some cunning move by Spurs to hurry things along a bit.
UNITED CONCENTRATE ON FELLAINI
It seems Manchester United have decided that Everton's ire about their transfer interactions this summer have been caused by Leighton Baines, rather than Marouane Fellaini.
Therefore, if you believe the morning papers, United are going to concentrate on a move for the big Belgian, rather than the smaller Englishman.
The Daily Mirror reports: 'Moyes's joint offers for the pair have fallen short so far, but the stand-alone bid for Fellaini - around £20m, plus extras - looks like suiting all parties.'
The Daily Telegraph concurs. Which is nice.
McCARTHY A WANTED MAN
Assuming Everton sell Fellaini, they'll want a midfielder to replace him.
The Mirror reckons that man is James McCarthy, and that Roberto Martinez will make a £10million bid for the Wigan man, but The Daily Mail seems to think that they will have some competition.
Apparently Newcastle are keen on McCarthy too, and despite Wigan looking for £15million, the Toon have started with an £8million bid.
Meanwhile, an interesting aside in both the Mail and The Daily Express tells us that Newcastle are either interested in or have agreed a loan deal for Inter Milan midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic.
