ARSENAL IN FOR OZIL
Right then, the deadline day gossip. No frills here, it's going to be snappy.
The Daily Mirror (and a few other places) reports that Arsenal are in for Mesut Ozil, and have already made a £42.5million bid for the German playmaker.
The Mirror claims: 'Ozil, his fellow Real midfielder Angel Di Maria and young Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler are all in the Gunners' sights as they look to launch a deadline day spending spree.
'Arsenal are understood to be ready to sign Ozil either permanently or, because the German international has reservations about leaving Real, on a season-long loan.'
Elsewhere, Arsenal are set to sign Palermo goalkeeper Emiliano Vivano, while they're also keen on taking Demba Ba from Chelsea.
The Daily Telegraph adds that a 'final bid is also expected for Real Madrid's Karim Benzema' and they could bring in Palermo striker Abel Hernandez.
FELLAINI TO UNITED ETC
Interesting line in The Daily Telegraph, who report that Marouane Fellaini should be a Manchester United player by the end of the day.
Apparently United were working last night to push through the deal, while they also haven't yet given up on Leighton Baines.
They're also looking at Ander Herrera, although that deal is described as 'problematic', while they could still go for Daniele de Rossi, but the chances of that one are slim.
COENTRAO STAYING. PROBABLY
One of the few men Spurs haven't yet signed is Fabio Coentrao, and according to Carlo Ancelotti they won't do either.
Ancelotti said: "Fabio is staying. I understood that he wanted to go, but really it was not the same desire for everyone. Now he's decided to stay and everybody, the club, players and coaching staff, are happy with this decision."
The Daily Mirror reports Spurs are still keen.
INCE TO SPURS?
Well, this would be pointless.
A couple of papers, including The Sun and The Daily Mail, report that Spurs are set to make a bid of around £8-10million for Tom Ince.
Quite why Spurs need him is not presently clear.
Newcastle are also thought to be keen, as are Everton.
BORINI TO SUNDERLAND?
Quick one from The Daily Mail, who report that Sunderland want to bring in Fabio Borini on loan.
The paper reports Sunderland hope to finalise the deal at some point today, as well as bringing in Andrea Dossena on a similar deal from Napoli.
The Mail also claims Napoli could yet make a late bid for Martin Skrtel.
