Chelsea on 'red alert' for Rooney, Carvalho for United, Toivonen for Liverpool and Ince/Lamela Spurs nonsense...
UNITED MAKING PLANS
It seems Manchester United are already looking to the January transfer window.
According to both The Times and The Daily Telegraph, they retain an interest in the Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera, and will watch him in action this weekend.
The Telegraph also claims Moyes is 'expected to return to his former club Everton for left-back Leighton Baines.' Oi vey.
Meanwhile, The Times reports that Porto central defender Eliaquim Mangala is a 'key target' for United, although it's doubtful they will pay his £38million buyout clause.
And finally The Metro, for what it's worth, says United will make another move for Fabio Coentrao.
GOURCUFF TO ARSENAL AGAIN?
We suspect that when Yoann Gourcuff snuffs it, hopefully at a ripe old age after a full, rich and healthy life, his gravestone will describe him as 'Arsenal target Yoann Gourcuff.'
Whether or not he is, ever was or will be an Arsenal target is up for debate, but The Daily Star describe him as such this morning, and thus we are obliged to pass on this information.
The paper claims Gourcuff is 'unhappy with current talks over a contract extension' at Lyon, with his wages set to be cut as the French side trim costs.
Apparently this could lead to a move in January. Whether that's to Arsenal or not...well, we just don't know.
ARSENAL v LIVERPOOL FOR AUSTRIAN DEFENDER
Speaking of Arsenal and The Daily Star, that same paper carries a story claiming that the Gooners will duke it out with Liverpool for Austrian defender Martin Hinteregger.
The Star cites The Liverpool Echo as claiming Liverpool are set to move for the Red Bull Salzburg man, and also reports that Arsenal have a 'long-standing' interest in the 21-year-old.
Quite why Liverpool would sign another central defender when they already have 27 is unclear, but who are we to question such a source as the Star?
RAFA WANTS BEGOVIC
Quick one from The Sun, who report that Napoli are keen on Asmir Begovic.
The paper claims Rafa Benitez is a 'big fan' of the Stoke keeper, and is keen to move for him in January.
However, Atletico Madrid are also keen, so they may move for him as well.
Oh yes! Baines is no better than Evra! As was proven by him having created more chances for his team than any other player in Europe and by those 2 pearlers of free kicks he scored last Saturday. Man U fans are on the ball eh!?- nealers77
