ZLATAN WANTS ROONEY IN PARIS
Here are those quotes in full. For what it's worth, we think he should go.
"When there was talk of Wayne Rooney joining us in Paris it was a prospect that excited me," said Zlatan. "I don't just want to play with just great players I want to play with technically great players - and that is what he is. You can work on the technical side of your game - but it is not something you can be taught. You either have it or you don't - and Rooney does.
"I think he made it clear in the summer that he wanted a fresh challenge - and things have not been going so well for Manchester United this season. If he still wants to move next summer or even in January I would urge him to come and play with me in Paris. The only direction this club is going is up, but if he did join he would have to get used to the fact that Zlatan scores even better goals than he does."
ZAHA TO GO ON LOAN
This is in most of the newspapers so we assume there's some truth in the talk of Wilfried Zaha going out on loan to a Premier League in January. Zaha has not figured for United since the Community Shield as United boss David Moyes is clearly scared of using the former Crystal Palace man despite the poor form of his senior wingers.
According to the Daily Mail: 'Crystal Palace remain keen to take him back but Swansea, West Brom, Stoke and Newcastle are also interested and appear likelier destinations given their styles and standing in the Premier League.'
Any of the above would give him half a chance of getting to the World Cup with England. If Andros Townsend goes in his stead, it will be a travesty.
UNITED EYE FRENCHMAN
Manchester United are looking to solve their defensive problems with a massive Frenchman, apparently. That massive Frenchman is 6ft 5in defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who plays for Belgian side Genk. He is 22 and can also play in central midfield, it says here. He has previously been tracked by Manchester City.
The two Manchester clubs are also both reportedly interested in St-Etienne defender Kurt Zouma. He's only 18 but built like the proverbial brick s***house and is already in the French Under-21 side.
