Ashley Young and Anderson first out in January, Falcao for Chelsea and Lassana Diarra for Arsenal or City...
NEWCASTLE PLOT RICHARDS SWOOP
We'll begin with an interesting bit of gossip from SHOUTsport, who claim that Newcastle are monitoring Micah Richards' situation at Manchester City with a view to making a bid for the defender in January.
Richards has struggled with injuries over the past 12 months, appearing only twice so far this season, but is seen by Alan Pardew as being the answer to the Magpies' right-back problem.
Mathieu Debuchy is yet to fully convince following his move to St James' Park last January and Pardew reportedly hopes that Richards' desire to go to the World Cup will encourage him to look for more first-team football.
VALDES TO SNUB ARSENAL
Arsenal have suffered a setback in their bid to sign Victor Valdes as the Barcelona keeper leans towards a move to Monaco.
Valdes has outlined his intention to leave Barca when his contract expires in the summer, with Arsenal monitoring the situation following concerns over Wojciech Szczesny's claim to the No 1 shirt.
However, the Daily Mail now claim that Valdes is set for Monaco, as Barcelona line up Borussia Monchengladbach shotstopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen as the 31-year-old's replacement.
BUMPER DEAL FOR TOWNSEND
Tottenham are set to reward Andros Townsend with a bumper new deal, according to the Daily Mail.
The winger enjoyed a fine debut for England in Friday's win over Montenegro, and it seems Spurs are now keen to sort out his long-term future to fend off interest from other clubs.
'The 22-year-old, who scored a brilliant international debut goal in England's 4-1 win over Montenegro, currently earns £6,000 a week at White Hart Lane,' report the Mail.
'But Spurs and Townsend have shaken hands on an improved deal worth £15,000 a week. There will be scope for additional pay hikes in the future should Townsend continue to impress.'
The Mail also add that Spurs were prepared to sell Townsend to Millwall for £500,000 in 2011 before he managed to force himself into the first team at White Hart Lane.
SCHMEICHEL EYES BLADES JOB
This might not be transfer gossip (of which there is very little around on Monday) but we felt it our duty to bring you the news that Peter Schmeichel is considering whether to apply for the manager's job at Sheffield United.
According to the Mirror, Schmeichel 'is set to throw his hat into the ring to succeed David Weir' after completing his coaching badges.
We'd very much like to see that.
