EVRA HEADING OUT?
"You can look throughout world football and you won't find many footballers as complete as Leighton," says Everton boss Roberto Martinez, who does not expect a proposed new contract to stop rumours about a move to Manchester United next summer. Making Baines' move even more likely is the rumoured exit of Patrice Evra, whose contract expires at the end of the season. According to Le10 in France, Evra is ready to leave Old Trafford next summer in search of a new challenge. They claim that the exit of Sir Alex Ferguson has taken its toll on the Frenchman and he could join Monaco.
So Baines in, Evra out it is then.
CASILLAS FOR ARSENAL?
You may have seen quotes from Iker Casillas on Thursday saying he might have to leave Real Madrid in January as he is clearly not first-choice goalkeeper - not ideal in World Cup year.
"If the situation doesn't change within three months, I'd say that I'll be looking to leave," Casillas said. "I have been here since I was a small boy but the day will come when maybe a decision will have to be made."
According to The Sun, this has 'put Manchester City and Arsenal on red alert'. Arsenal seems fair enough but City? Will he really leave Madrid to fight Joe Hart for the number-one slot at City? We think not.
