CHELSEA WANT SNEIJDER
Chelsea want to strengthen their midfield with a January move for Wesley Sneijder, report the Metro.
The 29-year-old midfielder played under Jose Mourinho in Internazionale's treble-winning campaign in 2009/10 and is being tipped for a reunion with his former boss by Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal.
"I know Chelsea and Jose Mourinho want Sneijder in the winter market," said van Gaal.
"In my opinion, if possible Sneijder should leave Galatasaray and join Chelsea.
"Playing under Mourinho again would improve his performances and help him regain his form for the national team."
The Metro claim Galatasaray could be willing to do business for around £5million, while Chelsea's chances of a deal will be boosted if the Turkish side drop out of the Champions League at the group stage.
MONTPELLIER OPEN TO UNITED BID FOR CABELLA
Montpellier have slapped a £15million price tag on Remy Cabella after the playmaker was linked with Manchester United.
The 23-year-old has started the season in sparkling form with five goals in eight matches, and it's thought that United could be preparing a bid for the January transfer window.
"He is an intelligent boy who is enjoying a good season," Montpellier manager Jean Fernandez told Reuters.
"Now, if in the winter transfer window Manchester United offer €18m (£15m) as I have read, he must go.
"Although that would kill the team, one cannot refuse an offer like that."
MAN CITY EYE BERAHINO
Manchester City have sent a team of scouts to watch West Brom youngster Saido Berahino in action against Stoke on Saturday, according to The Sun.
The England Under-21 striker has shot to prominence with a hat-trick against Newport in the League Cup and the winning goal in the Baggies' 2-1 victory over Manchester United.
Steve Clarke has expressed his desire to extend Berahino's contract - with the 20-year-old currently earning £850 a week - but it appears that City are set to make West Brom sweat as they step up their interest in the forward.
"Saido's contract is under discussion. Everyone is talking about it," said Clarke this week.
"Three weeks ago I said I was confident something would be sorted and I'm still confident something will be sorted."
