Danny Welbeck interesting Spurs, whilst Chris Smalling might join him in North London. Plus Muniain to Manchester...

Daniel Agger is still at Liverpool despite summer interest from Barcelona. He's a man of principles you see.

"I think you are always tempted when stuff like that happens," Agger told the Times. "You would not be human not to be, but I keep to my principles. If I have a contract here for two or three years and the club want me to stay, then I stay with them because, when I signed that deal, that's what I told them - that I'd be here for four years. I can't just turn around and say I don't want to be here anymore.

"It might have been different if the club had said it was in the best interests of both of us to go our different ways. In that case Barcelona would have been the best place to go, without a doubt, but the club came to me and told me they wanted me here. I'm not saying I wasn't tempted, because anyone would be in that situation, but for the club to say that to me was enough. I am happy here and my family is happy here also and that's a good combination."

Nice lad.

And what is that price? It's £6.5m according to The Times. And who are interested? West Ham (of course) and QPR (of course). Defoe has started only one Premier League game this season and is rightly worried that he will not be going to the World Cup in Brazil.

The Hammers might have another idea though - the Daily Mirror say they could be set to move for former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan from Brazilian club Internacional.

We keep reading this but - according to the Daily Express - now they're 'serious'. They were just p***ing about before. These reports come from Le10Sport in France, who claim that Ronaldo has made a personal plea to Real president Florentino Perez to sign Falcao but that Chelsea are 'serious' about trying to get the Colombian in January.

And why will he join Chelsea? Because Monaco are keen to offload Falcao in January, Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev and fellow Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich are apparently close and Jose Mourinho and Falcao are both represented by Portugese agent Jorge Mendes. How could it fail?
