LIVERPOOL CHASE SALAH
Liverpool are plotting a £12million move for Basel winger Mohamed Salah, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old Egypt international has impressed with his performances in the Champions League this season and scored in Basel's two victories over Chelsea in the group stage.

'Liverpool have been trailing the Egyptian for over six months and Rodgers flew to Germany on Wednesday to watch the the 21-year-old in action for himself against Schalke in the Champions League,' report the Mail.

'Basle are now ready to sell their prized asset and want around £15m for a player who has been dubbed 'the Egyptian Messi' following his goals return of 17 in 26 internationals.'

Tottenham, Galatasaray and Monaco are also thought to have expressed an interest in Salah.

ARSENAL TO SNAP UP BARCA YOUNGSTER
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Barcelona youngster Toni Sanabria.

The 17-year-old striker, who has already made his full debut for Paraguay, has told the Catalan club he plans to leave, with the Gunners leading the race for his signature.

'Sanabria had attracted interested from Roma but that has gone with Arsenal ready to trump their rivals with a big-money contract,' report the Mirror.

'His agent Raul Verdu said: "Our contacts with Arsenal are advanced and I expect a solution in the next week."'

Sanabria will apparently cost around £300,000 with Arsenal officials set to travel to Barcelona next week.

PATO FOR SALE
Quick line from the Daily Star now, who claim that Corinthians are willing to listen to offers for Brazil striker Pato.

The former AC Milan forward only returned to Brazil in January, but Corinthians are already looking to cash in after he failed to produce his best form.

'Corinthians director of football Roberto de Andrade has opened the door for Pato's exit claiming the club can negotiate with interested parties for the striker,' claim the Star.

'"When we bought Pato, it was because it was an opportunity, he is a great player," he said.

"We can negotiate about him, like any player. But in order to have a negotiation, there must be clubs interested in signing him and Pato so far has not asked to leave."'

Arsenal and Spurs have both been linked with moves for the 24-year-old.
