We're not sure we would wish him on anyone at the moment, but with David Moyes understandably prepared to allow Ashley Young to leave Manchester United on an ASAP basis, the Mail on Sunday report that former club Aston Villa may come in for their man.

CLUBS TO FIGHT OVER BARKLEY

The Daily Star go big on the story this morning, claiming that both Manchester City and United will look to tempt the midfielder from Goodison. A deal is likely to have to wait until January, with Everton hoping to agree a contract extension for Barkley so that they command an augmented fee.

BIG CLUBS? NICE TO MICHU
There was widespread surprise that none of the Premier League's bigger names made a move for Swansea's Michu over the summer, especially given the Spaniard's instant impact on the division, but it now appears that the player himself may be fluttering eyelashes at at the bold and beautiful.

The Sunday Express use quotes from Michu that do indeed to be rather flirty: "Every player dreams of playing for very big teams in the Champions League. I am no different."

Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus are all mentioned as possible destinations.
