Arsenal face battle to keep Kos, Reus wants United move, Moyes looks at a few new boys, Draxler move unlikely...
POGBA AND VIDAL TO UNITED. NATURALLY
It was always clear that when David Moyes was spotted at Cagliari v Juventus this weekend that there would be all sorts of rumours regarding potential transfer targets. Some would muse over Davide Astori, and others would plump for Claudio Marchisio. The Daily Mail, meanwhile, have gone for the balls-out approach.
The have an Exclusive story that Moyes was actually in Italy to speak to Juventus chief negotiator Beppe Marotta about a DOUBLE bid for Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal.
Despite the pair arguably being Juventus' two best players and most prized assets, the paper believe that Manchester United are confident of landing the pair.
For what it's worth, we're splitting the story, filing half of it under 'ambitious' and the rest under 'damn well unlikely'. Sorry.
WENGER TO SIGN NEW DEAL?
Another Exclusive now, this time from the Daily Star, who claim that Arsene Wenger is set to sign a new deal at the club, something that would presumably please fans a lot more now than a year ago.
The paper report that the only reason the deal hasn't yet been announced is that the club wish to also tie down Bacary Sagna and Per Mertesacker to their new contracts before revealing it as a trio. Because if there is one thing that football hates it's dragging out announcements.
To be honest, the story does rather focus more on the two defenders than Wenger, but 'hey, watch this space' is the message, Arsenal fans.
GARAY TO RUSSIA RATHER THAN MANCHESTER
Quick one now from the Daily Express, and whilst we rather thought that Manchester United had signed Ezequiel Garay on approximately 212 occasions in the last three years, it appears that the Argentine defender is set for a move to Zenit St Petersburg.
However, given the fact that the reported deal from the Russian club is for £35million (including former Bolton player Rodrigo), we rather think that United have dodged an expensive bullet there.
MATIC CLOSE TO CHELSEA MOVE
It's been a transfer that has rather done the rounds of late, but it seems that two-and-a-half years after being a makeweight in the deal for David Luiz, Chelsea are prepared to clinch a £22million deal for Benfica midfielder Nemanja Matic - a loss of just £19m on the player.
The Guardian report that Matic is due at Cobham on Tuesday to undertake a medical with the clubs close to agreeing a price for the 25-year-old.
The paper do give supporters some financial paracetamol by also claiming that an £18million deal to sell Kevin De Bruyne to Wolfsburg will soon be completed.
