United set their sights on Cavani, Everton interested in £20m Welbeck, Toure to Spurs and Arsenal want Chambers...
LITTLE PEA WANTS OUT
Frankly, we don't blame him. He's started only four games in the Premier League this season despite injuries to Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie and there are plenty of clubs in England and around Europe who would give him more first-team football in a World Cup year. One of those clubs is said to be Inter Milan, but United have - according to The Sun at least - decided that they want at least £15m for their fourth-choice striker.
WAIT A MINUTE...
The Daily Telegraph are along with what might be bad news for Michael Carrick but good news for Javier Hernandez. Carrick could be sidelined for a month with ankle ligament damage and that leaves Manchester United even more desperate for the midfielder they desperately needed anyway. We don't really see Fredy Guarin as an obvious replacement for Carrick but apparently David Moyes could be tempted by a swap that involves a Mexican and a Colombian.
TERRY RESIGNED TO EXIT
'Sources close to Terry say he is now becoming resigned to the fact that he will not be at Stamford Bridge next season,' says the Daily Mirror. We could write some other stuff but we're too busy smiling.
LIVERPOOL WANT ROMULO
There was giddy talk of Nigel de Jong (the talk wasn't giddy, we were) but Russian reports - dutifully delivered by the Daily Express - claim that Brendan Rodgers' defensive midfielder of choice to replace Lucas is a bloke at Spartak Moscow called Romulo. 'Some reports suggest that Liverpool have made Spartak an opening bid in the region of £7m with the Russian club holding out for closer to £10m,' says the Express, which will sound worryingly to Liverpool fans like exactly what happened with the Mohamed Salah deal.
More worrying should be the fact that Romulo has only recently returned from 18 months out of action with a serious knee injury.
AND THE REST
Stoke City striker Peter Crouch could be re-united with former manager Harry Redknapp who hopes to take the 32-year-old to Queens Park Rangers...ton Villa boss Paul Lambert is ready to end his interest in Norwich City midfielder Wes Hoolahan, 31, after having a £1m bid rejected...Cardiff City's proposed loan move for winger Wilfried Zaha, 21, means they will have to sign Manchester United's Fabio da Silva, 23, on a permanent basis because a team cannot sign two loan players from the same Premier League club.
Players to be sold. Young, Nani, Smalling, Buttner, Hernandez, Fellani, Anderson, Manchester is a certain class, they are not in that class.- happychappy
