Christian Eriksen hints at future move, £50m deal for Costa agreed and Spurs eye up Foster if Lloris leaves...

'It has long been assumed within the club that the Dane would leave at the end of this season. But Sportsmail understands there are factions of the club's hierarchy who would rather see (Michael) Laudrup leave sooner, with Swansea struggling in the Barclays Premier League,' say the Daily Mail, echoing reports on Sky Sports News on Sunday night.

If Laudrup is not in trouble - and Huw Jenkins told the BBC on Sunday night that they are not discussing a premature exit - then he certainly should be. Swansea have won just one of their last ten Premier League games and are now just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Their deadline is this afternoon and, according to the Daily Mail, 'Fenerbahce are putting together a last-minute package to sign Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse'. They will apparently start the bidding at £6m, which seems a tad pointless when Newcastle apparently turned down two £8m deadline-day offers from Trazbonspor and an unnamed Middle East club. Make it £10m and Newcastle might just listen.

'Rafa Benitez may make a third attempt to sign Sunderland midfield enforcer Lee Cattermole in the summer after failing in a transfer deadline day bid to take him to Napoli,' is the claim in the Metro. Which really is nothing short of extraordinary. What is it about Cattermole that Benitez loves so much? He tried to sign him when Liverpool manager and apparently had an offer rebuffed for the, erm, 'combative' midfielder.

And yes, transfer gossip really is this thin on the ground.

Very much hope swansea go down
