Louis van Gaal to begin his United clear-out with gusto, Jose desperate to sell Torres and Napoli want Christian Eriksen...
COULD COLE RETURN TO ARSENAL?
Speculative stuff in The Daily Mail from Neil Ashton, who writes a piece about Ashley Cole and how his career at Chelsea is basically over.
With his contract up in the summer and Cesar Azpilicueta seemingly Jose Mourinho's favoured option at left-back, it does seem rather inevitable that Cole will leave.
So where could he go? Ashton's theory is thus:
'It wasn't that long ago, after Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Chelsea on December 23, that Arsene Wenger admitted he would take him back.
'Asked whether he would be prepared to re-sign a man who forced through a move to Chelsea in 2006, Wenger replied: 'If I needed a left back, yes.'
'Don't rule anything out in this game.'
Believe what you will.
AND BALOTELLI TOO?
Boy this would be fun.
The Metro relays reports 'from Italy' that Mario Balotelli could sign for Arsenal in the summer.
Yeah, we know.
Apparently the logic is that Arsenal's kits will be made by Puma next season. And Balotelli is also sponsored by Puma.
It says here that Puma will thus fund a move for the Milan foward. Here - it says so here:
'Puma, who also sponsor Balotelli, want two of their key brands together, and could even stump up as much as £15million of any deal to make the transfer happen.
'The 23-year-old has been in stunning form since moving to Milan from City, scoring 25 goals in just 38 matches.
'Balotelli is rated at about £40million by Milan.'
UNITED TO MOVE FOR TIOTE
The bad news keeps piling on for Newcastle. First Kinnear leaves, and now Tiote could go.
Well, only one of those is actually bad, and it might not happen. It is in The Daily Star, after all.
The paper reports this morning that Manchester United have Tiote in mind for that massive, gaping hole in their midfield, and could make a bid for the Ivorian in the summer.
The Star claims: 'With Newcastle preparing to cash in on Yohan Cabaye, there was never any chance of Tiote being allowed to quit the club in January..
'But his representatives have been made aware of United's interest through a third party and are expecting United to table a bid at the end of the season.'
Apparently United have also been scouting Sporting's William Carvalho, but they might have to duke it out with Real Madrid and Barcelona for him.
INCE 'NOT READY' FOR LIVERPOOL
Here's Paul Ince on Tom Ince, and where he is or isn't ready to go.
He's quoted in The Daily Mirror as saying: "Liverpool were in but I don't think Thomas is ready to go to Liverpool yet.
"Brendan [Rodgers] has done very well there and he does play the kids but for his progression as a footballer it needed to be a Stoke, a Swansea, a Palace or a Hull at this point.
"Maybe in two or three years' time that might be a move for him."
AND THE REST...
Manchester City transfer target Fernando can agree a pre-contract with them as his deal with the Portuguese heavyweights expires at the end of the season...Arsenal are preparing a third contract offer for key defender Bacary Sagna in hope of finally persuading him to stay...Fulham are giving serious consideration to replacing Rene Meulensteen just two months after his appointment as manager.
