Just how much is Thibault Courtois worth? The Daily Star claim that Atletico Madrid are so desperate to keep hold of the Chelsea keeper (who has never played for Chelsea) that they have offered their best players to the Blues in part-exchange. They claim that there are two deals on the table - £16m plus Spain under-21 star Koke (long linked with Manchester United) or £8m plus Diego Costa. As the latter has a buy-out clause of £32m and has scored 20 La Liga goals this season, that sounds like one hell of a deal for Chelsea.

'Tottenham are preparing contract offers for key duo Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen, but fear securing the pair will depend on Champions League qualification,' says the Daily Mail. They both have contracts until 2016 but Daniel Levy is apparently keen to tie them down to longer-term deals this summer. But the pair are much too good for Europa League football and they are unlikely to sign unless Tim Sherwood pulls off the unlikely and leads them to a top-four finish.

In fact, the Daily Mirror claims that Atletico Madrid will make a move for Lloris this summer if their tactic of throwing the kitchen sink at Chelsea for Courtois fails.

It's an open secret that Patrice Evra will leave Manchester United this summer and the Daily Mail claim that Inter Milan were amongst those watching the French left-back during Wednesday night's 0-0 draw with Arsenal. It was assumed that Evra would join either Monaco or PSG and end his career in France but he could be tempted to join Nemanja Vidic - said to be close to an agreement with Inter already - for a new challenge in Serie A.

The same report suggests Southampton's Luke Shaw and Atletico Madrid's Filipe Luis and United's left-backs of choice to replace Evra - though once again, a lack of Champions League football could be a massive factor in who United actually sign this summer.
