United to give Shaw loads o' cash, Dani Alves & Alex Song to leave Barca for England? Arsenal & Liverpool battle...
GUNNING FOR GUNDOGAN?
'MANCHESTER UNITED are sure they have won the £25million battle for Germany's Ilkay Gundogan,' is the rather bold and 'exclusive' claim from the Daily Star Sunday, who claim that David Moyes 'believes the Borussia Dortmund playmaker is the most likely of his midfield targets to move to Old Trafford this summer' despite him being a target for both Real Madrid and Arsenal too.
Gundogan has of course seen his season wrecked by a back injury and he is out of contract at Dortmund next summer, making him far more likely to join United than, say, Toni Kroos. The report of course throws in the obligatory line about Shinki Kagawa moving the opposite way in a swap deal.
VALENCIA TARGET TORRES
If Singapore businessman Peter Lim takes over Valencia then he might well throw £13m in the general direction of Chelsea, say the Sunday Mirror, who claim that Roman Abramovich is finally ready to cut his losses on the £50m striker. Romelu Lukaku is also set to be sold to anybody who will offer over £22m for the Belgian. Chelsea are making room on their wage bill for a world-class striker like Edinson Cavani and it's thought that Torres would jump at the chance to return to Spain.
ALLEN A TOFFEE TARGET
Joe Allen has never looked like a £15m player at Liverpool, but would he look like a £10m player at Everton? We may soon find out as the Sunday Mirror claim that Roberto Martinez wants his old Swansea midfielder at Goodison Park if he fails to sign Gareth Barry on a permanent transfer this summer. Allen has started only seven Premier League games this season as Brendan Rodgers has switched to a more counter-attacking style and could be surplus to requirements this summer.
AND THE REST
