SPURS MOVE FOR BALOTELLI
Well, this would be entertaining.
According to The Daily Express, via 'reports in Italy', Tottenham could beat Arsenal to the signing of Mario Balotelli.
Oh really. The paper claims Spurs have a secret weapon in this particular hunt, as they could offer Erik Lamela as part of the deal.
The Express claims: 'The Gunners have been linked with a £40m move for the former Manchester City striker, backed by new kit provider Puma, who also have a sponsorship agreement with Balotelli.
'But according to reports in Italy Tottenham also have their sights set on the unpredictable frontman.
'And with Lamela struggling to adapt after making a £30m move from Roma in the summer Spurs sense an opportunity to get one over on their fierce rivals.'
INTER WANT CAPOUE
Meanwhile, The Daily Mirror reports that Milan's neighbours could also be doing business with Spurs this summer.
The paper claims Inter want Etienne Capoue, and has already been in London to have talks over the French midfielder.
The Mirror reports: 'Midfielder Capoue joined the Londoners from French side Toulouse last summer for £9million but has struggled to hold down a place since Tim Sherwood replaced Andre Villas-Boas as head coach.
'Inter tried to sign the 25-year-old Frenchman in January but were priced out of a deal, and Spurs are still likely to demand they get their money back.'
REINA WON'T COME BACK, SAYS BRENDAN
Doesn't look like Pepe Reina will be coming back to Liverpool.
Brendan Rodgers is quoted as saying, when asked about the Spanish keeper: "He's already written his letter.
"He wrote a goodbye letter didn't he? I was surprised a loan player wrote a letter. I would suspect that he should come back but obviously Pepe made it very clear when he went to Napoli that he was looking to move.
"He penned a great big letter saying he was going to work with the best manager that he'd worked with and thanked us for his time for Liverpool. So for me it probably sounded like he'd made his decision there."
FORSTER A WANTED MAN
Interesting line in The Sun, who report that Fraser Forster is wanted by some of the shiniest clubs the continent has to offer.
Seemingly not put off by Forster's shameful failure to get that clean sheet record in Scotland, the liks of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Juventus are all keen.
Whiffs of an agent trying to use some big clubs as leverage to us, but what do we know?
