UNITED TO GO DOUBLE DUTCH
After United's shambolic performance in Greece last Tuesday, the pressure on David Moyes has further increased, and the Daily Mirror this morning go loud and proud on their claim that the club could go double Dutch in their hunt for a possible replacement.

Current Netherlands national team manager Louis van Gaal is the frontrunner for the job, the paper claims. Van Gaal is leaving his position following this summer's World Cup, and has also been touted for the Spurs gig.

The Mirror go one step further, reporting that current Ajax manager Frank de Boer could become Van Gaal's assistant. Quite whether De Boer would accept a secondary role given his impressive record in Amsterdam is surely questionable, though?

Interesting, very interesting.

TURKISH MOVE FOR VIDIC
It has been largely assumed that Nemanja Vidic is certain to join Inter this summer when he leaves Old Trafford, but a surprise name has also now thrown their hat into the ring: Turkish side Trabzonspor.

The Sun report that the Turkish side, knocked out of the Europa League by Juventus on Thursday, will make Vidic a huge salary offer in order to try and tempt him eastward, but one suspects that it would take something eye-watering for tempt Vidic away from the San Siro.

Trabzonspor is currently home to former Premier League ageing players Didier Zokora, Jose Bosingwa and Florent Malouda.

EVERTON TO GIVE BARRY THREE YEARS
Gareth Barry has been a man reborn at Goodison this season, and the Sunday People report the unsurprising news that the (former?) England international is close to being offered a full-time deal by Everton.

At 33, the crucial requirement from Barry is contract length, and it is believed that Everton have been so impressed by the midfielder's fitness since his loan move from Manchester City that they would offer him a three-year deal worth in the region of £50,000 a week.

The contract would consist of two initial years with the option for the player to take up a third season should he play a sufficient number of league matches.
