MAN CITY EYE SUAREZ
Ooh, is someone being naughty to try and upset Liverpool's title challenge? The timing of this story is certainly interesting ahead of next week's potential title-decider between the Reds and City at Anfield.

According to The Times, City are ready to make a 'huge investment' to take Luis Suarez to the Etihad, two years after they were first linked with the striker.

'The Uruguay international is aware of the interest from City and other leading European clubs and will decide his future at the end of the season,' report The Times.

'Txiki Begiristain, City's director of football, knows Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko could ask to leave the Abu Dhabi-owned club this summer and has identified Suarez as his priority for the role of main striker.

'He believes the release clause included in the contract the Uruguayan signed at Liverpool in December makes a transfer viable if the player chooses to move.'

We doubt anything will happen before England knock Uruguay out of the World Cup.

CHELSEA FACE COMPETITION FOR COSTA
If reports during the last week are to be believed, Diego Costa is now Jose Mourinho's number-one target as he scours Europe for a new striker.

However, the Daily Mail claim Chelsea face strong competition for Costa's signature from Monaco, who are looking to splash the cash again ahead of their expected return to the Champions League.

'Chelsea are in danger of losing out on signing Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid this summer, with French club Monaco offering a tax-free salary understood to be £150,000 a week as well as trumping a £40million bid,' report the Mail.

'Monaco, bankrolled by Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev, can also offer wages free of income tax. Costa is represented by Jorge Mendes, who is also Mourinho's agent and has a good relationship with Chelsea. But he has also developed close ties with Rybolovlev.'

If Monaco snap up Costa, it could see Chelsea reignite their interest in Radamel Falcao, who is currently recovering from a serious knee injury.

And according to the Mirror, Benfica forward Rodrigo is also on Mourinho's shortlist.

LIVERPOOL AND MILAN CHASE RICHARDS
Quick line from the Mirror now, who reveal that Liverpool are battling AC Milan to sign Micah Richards.

The England international has struggled for form and fitness at Man City over the last two years, leading to speculation that he will be allowed to move on in the summer.

'Richards, 25, is expected to leave Manchester City after rejecting a new five-year deal earlier this season,' report the Mirror.

'Richards' present deal expires at the end of next season and City will look to cash in this summer, rather than allowing the right-back to leave for free.

'Milan have sounded out the player's representatives about a switch to Serie A after getting a recommendation from his former City team-mate Mario Balotelli.

'However, Liverpool still have Richards on their wish-list after a loan bid was rejected in January.'
