Man City target Ross Barkley, Ramires could be Real mover and Ron Vlaar a bargain for Man United or Arsenal...
LIVERPOOL IN FOR MARKOVIC
If there was a time for Liverpool to start having a quiet word in the ears of players and their agents regarding a move to Anfield, that time is now.
Riding on the crest of a wave after nine consecutive league victories, Brendan Rodgers is obviously pleased as Punch, and the rumour in the Metro (who are actually just reporting the rumour in the Sunday Mirror) is that Lazar Markovic is on Brendan's radar.
The 20-year-old is seen as one of the hottest properties in European football, and the Benfica winger has impressed during his side's title challenge in Portugal and Europa League campaign, which sees the Eagles favourites to qualify for the semi-finals.
The paper report that Markovic has long been a target for Chelsea, but that Liverpool are looking to muscle in on a deal that would cost around £20million. Promising him the chance to join the Premier League title winners surely acts as a decent bargaining tool.
MUNTARI BACK TO ENGLAND
We're not sure what is more surprising - a player moving straight from Portsmouth to Inter or from Milan to Hull. As it happens, Sulley Muntari might just end up doing both.
The Ghanaian midfielder, who played at Fratton Park for just one season, stayed at Inter for four seasons (also moving to Sunderland on loan, briefly) before joining Milan in 2012. Muntari is now entering the final year of his deal at the San Siro, and after losing aregular first-team place would like a move back to England.
The Daily Mirror believe that both Hull City and West Ham are interested in the 29-year-old, who would reportedly be available at a knockdown price. Underwhelming, Hammers fans?
UNITED WANT SOUTHAMPTON TRIO
We're not saying that we don't completely buy the Daily Mail's big claim this morning that Manchester United will make bids for Adam Lallana, Luka Shaw and Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, but the evidence does seem a little flimsy given that Shaw is the only one given more than a passing reference.
Still, that's what the Mail truly are saying: 'Shaw is the top name on Moyes' wanted list for the imminent vacancy at left-back, while the Manchester United manager is also weighing up possible moves for Adam Lallana and Morgan Schneiderlin as part of an ambitious multi-million pound summer rebuilding job.'
The story also focuses on a reported '£27million hole in finances' at St Mary's, as reported by The Times on March 31. They owe that money in outstanding transfer fees, apparently.
