It has to be some ballsy transfer gossip to even register in today's papers ahead of a certain departing manager, but the Daily Express have taken that to heart with a story regarding Real Madrid attempting to recruit Luis Suarez this summer.

The Express report stories in Italy suggesting that Real would be prepared to sell Karim Benzema to Juventus in order to fund a bid for the Uruguayan, who only signed a new deal at Liverpool earlier this season.

In fairness, the bulk of the Express' story does focus on Benzema, but they do claim that the Spanish giants are considering what would surely be a world record offer for the 27-year-old striker.

However, the Daily Mirror throw a spanner in the works by pretty much reporting the same story as the Express, but replacing one South American Premier League striker for another, claiming that Sergio Aguero is in fact the man Real want.

We'll let you decide whether either, neither or both of the papers are wrong.

The 'will he, won't he' regarding Thibault Courtois' potential participation in Atletico Madrid's Champions League semi-final has almost become as dull as the most tedious of transfer sagas, but it appears that there will be a happy ending.

Courtois is set to play this evening, and the Daily Mail run with an 'Exclusive' that Courtois will sign an extension to his Chelsea contract. His current deal expires in 2016, but Chelsea hope to add two years to that date for a goalkeeper that is yet to make an appearance for the club.

With Petr Cech remaining no. 1, it remains to be seen whether Courtois will be permitted to extend his stay at the Vicente Calderon for another season.

After Manchester United fans displayed their relief following the departure of David Moyes, it appears that they may get their second wish too, with The Times going reasonably big on the news that Everton will bid £8million for Tom Cleverly this summer.

The paper report that, alongside Romelu Lukaku, Cleverly is Roberto Martinez's principal hope for this summer's transfer window, with Leon Osman turning 33 before the start of next season and potentially in need of replacing.

Cleverly is coming into the last year of his United contract and, whilst any new manager will surely give each member of his squad the chance to impress, it seems that the majority of supporters would be pleased to see him go.
