BAYERN TO LAND REMY
Ooh, this is interesting. According to the Daily Mirror, Bayern Munich are set to trump a host of Premier League clubs to Loic Remy's signature.
Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle and Everton have all been linked with moves for the striker, who has scored 13 goals for the Magpies during his loan spell from QPR.
'Bayern have signed Polish star Robert Lewandowski for next season, but they want Remy too,' report the Mirror, adding that the Frenchman will cost around £15m.
'Mario Mandzukic is likely to be sold to make space for new arrivals.
'Remy knows he would probably go to sit on the bench, but the glamour of Bayern - and the salary he'd get there - are tempting, and talks are due to start soon.'
CAVANI WANTS UNITED MOVE
It looks like we can expect a lot more guff about Edinson Cavani in the coming weeks, with the Metro reporting that the striker is keen on a move to Manchester United.
Cavani has scored 20 goals in Ligue 1 and the Champions League for PSG this season, but it appears his heart is set on leaving after being forced to play second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
According to the Metro: 'The 27-year-old has reportedly told friends he feels he would be a 'perfect fit' in the Premier League and is willing to talk to any prospective suitors, but the fact United have shown the most interest is an 'important factor' in his decision.
'Cavani is likely to fetch upwards of £60m should he leave the Parc des Princes this summer, while PSG team-mate Ezequiel Lavezzi is also believed to want out of the Paris club at the end of the season.'
UNITED GIVEN REUS BOOST
There's quite a tenuous story in the Daily Express this morning, which claims that Manchester United have been given fresh hope in their pursuit of Marco Reus.
Nope, they haven't been handed a wildcard to the Champions League, just a little bit of encouragement that Reus is delaying signing a new contract.
That could be crucial to United's chances of signing the forward, with Reus' current deal reportedly containing a £28m release clause - a reasonable fee that would allow United to throw a stack of cash in wages at the German international.
Report the Express: 'The 24-year-old is reported to have been offered a new deal to stay at the Westfalenstadion amid speculation.
'But the Germany international refused to confirm if he had been offered a new deal, despite claiming he is happy at the club.
'"I'm not saying anything about my contract," Reus said.'
He also added this, mind: "But I do have the time to emphasise how good I feel at Dortmund."
