LIVERPOOL CHASE RICHARDS
There's more talk of Liverpool moving for Micah Richards on Saturday after Brendan Rodgers outlined his intention to strengthen the Reds over the summer.

According to the Daily Mirror, Richards is high on Rodgers' wanted list after deciding that he wants to leave Manchester City at the end of the season.

'The Manchester City defender, 25, is likely to be allowed to leave the Etihad after deciding not to take up a new five-year deal,' report the Mirror.

'Reds boss Brendan Rodgers believes Richards would be perfect for his squad as he can play right-back and centre-half, and only has one year left on his contract.'

Apparently Spurs and AC Milan are also interested in £7m-rated Richards while Sevilla are keen on a £2m deal for Oussama Assaidi.


BARCELONA TARGET AGGER
According to the Metro, Barcelona are keeping tabs on Daniel Agger as they consider potential replacements for Carles Puyol.

The Barca captain is set to retire at the end of the season following a lengthy struggle with injuries, forcing the club into action.

'Liverpool's Agger has been targeted by Barcelona in the past and they are reportedly now set to rekindle their interest in the 29-year-old,' report the Metro.

'The Catalan club have suffered a disappointing season both domestically and in Europe and are planning to overhaul their squad during the transfer window.'


ARSENAL EYE YOUNGSTERS
Arsenal are reportedly chasing a couple of young stars after Arsene Wenger admitted that he doesn't expect to be too busy during the transfer window.

"We want to add something that makes us even stronger, but number-wise it will not be massive," said the Arsenal boss on Friday.

Two names doing the rounds on Saturday are Polish teenager Dawid Kownacki and Ajax defender Joel Veltman, who has also been linked with Spurs.

Poland Under-17 striker Kownacki, who's thought to be available for around £275,000, has been tracked by a number of clubs after making the breakthrough at Lech Poznan, while Veltman is tipped to gain a place in Holland's World Cup squad after helping Ajax to the Eredivisie title.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad forward Carlos Vela says he "won't close the door on Arsenal" after revealing a contract clause that allows the Gunners to re-sign him for €4m.
