SUAREZ TOPS REAL MADRID SHORTLIST
Oh, this again. It's hardly a surprise that Luis Suarez is being linked with a move to Real Madrid after his brilliant season for Liverpool, but we hope he makes up his mind one way or another pretty soon to avoid another summer-long saga.

According to The Times, Suarez has toppled Sergio Aguero at the top of Real's shortlist following his 31-goal haul for the Reds. Apparently Real have doubts of Aguero's fitness after the Argentine's injury-hit campaign and would now prefer to splurge on Suarez instead.

'Real kept tabs on Suarez's situation during his abortive attempt to join Arsenal last summer, but because of their preoccupation with completing the £85m world-record signing of Gareth Bale did not make a bid,' report The Times.

'Liverpool's stance remains that they are determined to keep Suarez, and will not sell him to another English club, which may have led them to set any buyout clause at a prohibitively high level to deter offers from their domestic rivals. A figure of £70m has been widely mooted, but not confirmed.'

Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Ashley Cole when his contract expires at the end of the season.

SAGNA PLANS ENGLAND STAY
This could end up being pretty painful for Arsenal. Not only is Bacary Sagna determined to quit the Gunners when his contract expires in June, but apparently he also wants to stay in the Premier League, with Man City and Chelsea both expressing an interest.

According to the Daily Star, the 31-year-old has already turned down offers from Internazionale and Galatasaray in order to pursue a new challenge in England.

Report the Star: 'According to reports in France Sagna, who has become increasingly disappointed by Arsenal's failure to provide a suitable new deal, will instead decide over a summer switch to either Chelsea or City.

'The Gunners offered Sagna only a two-year extension at the Emirates Stadium worth £75,000-a-week - however the former Auxerre man wants a weekly wage of £100,000 plus a signing-on fee.'

CHELSEA WANT VARANE Now this is exciting. Despite his injury problems this season, Raphael Varane proved himself to be one of the finest young defenders in the game following his breakthrough at Real Madrid, and it would be a significant coup if Jose Mourinho can lure him to Stamford Bridge.

According to the Daily Express: 'Reports in Spain suggest that Mourinho wants to be reunited with Varane having worked with him during his time at Real.

'Varane has failed to displace Pepe at the heart of Real's defence this season - despite Carlo Ancelotti's doubts over the Portuguese defender - as doubts linger over how the youngster has recovered from knee surgery.

'Those doubts mean that Mourinho hopes to be able to negotiate a discount for Varane, who has a £165m buy-out clause in his contract.'
