Reports in Spain suggest Manchester United could complete the year-late signing of Ander Herrera as early as today.

The Athletic Bilbao midfielder's release clause increases to £33.5million at the start of July, with United reported to have moved now to secure a £28.7million deal.

According to Marca, the 24-year-old is already in Manchester and has signed a four-year deal.

The Sun also report that United are willing to pay over £30million for Sami Khedira, who is entering the final year of his contract at Real Madrid.

Inter Milan could be about to have their hand snapped off by Manchester United.

According to the Daily Star, the Serie A side are willing to offer £12million for the Portuguese winger, who was handed a five-year deal by David Moyes less than 12 months ago.

If Inter's level of interest is genuine, this could be the most-quickly concluded deal of the summer.

Luis Suarez appears to be using every trick in the book to engineer a move away from Liverpool.

His father-in-law has now stuck his oar in, claiming: "it would be the right time to move to Spain". Gustavo Balbi also said: "It doesn't matter whether it's one team or the other. But Luis will not go to another team in England out of respect for Liverpool."

We should prepare ourselves for the prospect of the world's most muted celebration should Liverpool meet one of the Spanish giants in the Champions League next season.
