DIVOCK A RED?
The Daily Mail say Liverpool's proposed move for Belgian teenager Divock Origi is worth £6m but reports in France claim that the Reds have opened with a bid of around £8m but that Lille want something closer to £10m - and the promise that Origi will spend next season on loan at the French club.

The figures may be slightly different but everybody agrees that talks are at an advanced stage and that Origi himself is keen on the move. After being linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham, he said recently: "As a little boy I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League but I'm still young and now I'm in an important tournament so I'm try to focus on the team. Then my entourage will see with Lille what I'll do."

We really hope that 'entourage' sounds less w***y in the original French.

ENTER SHAQIRI FOR LIVERPOOL
While Origi is one for the future, 22-year-old Xherdan Shaqiri is very much in Liverpool's plans for next season, if you believe reports in England and Germany. The Swiss attacking midfielder is said to be close to agreeing a five-year deal worth £95,000 a week at the Merseyside club. The fee is expected to be somewhere in the region of £15m.

Shaqiri is very much surplus to requirements at Bayern Munich, where he started just ten Bundesliga games last season. Six goals in just ten starts isn't half bad, mind.

SANCHEZ LIKES ARSENAL
That's the claim of Spanish journalist Kike Marin of Voz Populi in Spain. His quotes come to us via the good folk at SportWitness, who trawl through the foreign nonsense so we don't have to bother. Although Sanchez is strongly being linked with Liverpool as part of a swap deal for Luis Suarez, it seems that he may prefer Arsenal after boss Arsene Wenger met with his representatives at the World Cup.

"Alexis is possible, yes. He wants to go at Arsenal. We'll see," tweeted Marin.
