The Scraping Gossip

Isco wants out and could join Liverpool or Arsenal, who are apparently ready to bid big for Edinson Cavani in January.

It looks like Liverpool are already spending the cash they expect to receive for Luis Suarez, but according to the Daily Mail the striker is no closer to sealing his move to Barcelona.

The hold up in the transfer is apparently due to Liverpool's insistence on the £75m fee being paid up front, which means Barca could have to ship out Alexis Sanchez first.

'The Reds have been told that Sanchez does not wish to join them and it seems increasingly likely that the Chile international will choose Arsenal,' report the Mail.

'Arsenal remain favourites for Sanchez but Manchester City and United have expressed interest, as have Juventus.'

Barcelona have planned a pre-season training trip to St George's Park on July 28, but Suarez will not be involved under the restrictions of his four-month ban.

As well as pursuing a deal for Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a £7.9m move for Mathieu Debuchy.

It's thought that Arsene Wenger regards the Newcastle man as the perfect replacement for Bacary Sagna, who left to join Manchester City earlier in the summer.

According to the Guardian, Debuchy will undergo a medical this week, while Arsenal could throw in Carl Jenkinson or Joel Campbell to try and lower the fee.

Meanwhile, Newcastle have been offered Micah Richards, who is expected to leave City before the start of the season, and are also keeping tabs on Feyenoord's Daryl Janmaat and Ajax's Ricardo van Rhijn.

Manchester United will need to fend off competition from Barcelona if they want to sign Mats Hummels, report the Daily Express.

The 25-year-old reportedly leads Louis van Gaal's list of defensive targets, with Borussia Dortmund braced for bids of around £20m.

'However United are not the only team in for the former Bayern Munich man, with Mundo Deportivo claiming that Barcelona are ready to offer Hummels a bumper deal in order to lure him to the Nou Camp,' report the Express.

'Luis Enrique has already been busy in the transfer window, signing Ivan Rakitic, Claudio Bravo and Marc-Andre ted Stegen, and is looking to replace club legend Carles Puyol who retired at the end of the season.'
