EVRA OFF TO JUVENTUS
To be honest, we can see why Patrice Evra may want to leave Manchester United. The club have just signed a player in your position for £30million who is 15 years your junior, and you are now forced to read reports that Switzerland's Ricardo Rodriguez may be following him through the door. Time to move and ensure first-team football, one would think.

After the example set by Ashley Cole earlier this week of 33-year-old Premier League left-backs moving to Serie A, the Daily Mail believe that Juventus is Evra's next destination, with the Italian champions offering £2million to take the Frenchman out of Old Trafford. The paper also mention Juve offering Evra £55,000 a week after tax, which seems pretty cushty indeed.

The Mail can't help themselves making a link between a deal for Evra and Arturo Vidal moving the other way, but we still remain slightly dubious on that.

LUCAS ON HIS WAY OUT

It seems that someone at Anfield was reading our Top Ten Players That Need A Move feature, because the talk today, in the Daily Express at least, is that Lucas Leiva will be sold by Liverpool in order to fund a bid for Dejan Lovren.

They claim that, with Liverpool being forced to pay more than £20million for Southampton's Lovren, Brendan Rodgers will be forced to sell the Brazilian, who has failed to start more than two-thirds of Premier League games in each of his last three seasons.

The Express report on the Napoli story that has been doing the rounds, but also believe Inter may be a good option as Liverpool would prefer to sell outright rather than Lucas leaving on loan with an option to buy.

SPURS HIJACKING ORIGI DEAL

We would estimate that Spurs need to be looking at the here and now when buying new strikers rather than merely looking at potential talent, but the Daily Mirror today claim that Mauricio Pochettino will make a last-minute bid to land the Belgian youngster by offering him first-team football immediately.

Origi is reported to be close to signing a deal with Liverpool after they agreed a £9.8million fee with Lille, but Spurs hope that the offer of immediate football rather than being loaned back to Lille or thought of as 'one for the future' may still swing things in their favour.

We'd still say that with the player stating that he wants to join Liverpool and Lille keen to keep Origi's services for another season, Spurs are barking up a particularly unreceptive tree.
