LIVERPOOL TO BID £45M FOR REUS
Well then, pick this one out.

Liverpool may have used Southampton as their sole base for transfer targets this summer but, according to The Guardian at least, Brendan Rodgers is about to aim his sights a little higher. They report that Liverpool will make a 'sensational' (and it would be sensational) £45million offer for Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus.

Reus is said to be upset that his move to Barcelona broke down after the Catalans signed Luis Suarez and is keen to move away from Germany. Rodgers wants to exploit this and bring a marquee signing to Anfield after the significant loss of Suarez. Sterling. Sturridge. Markovic. Reus. So much pace. So, so much pace.

Unfortunately, The Times' man on Merseyside Tony Barrett has poured cold water on the rumours, tweeting: 'Liverpool baffled by reports linking them with Marco Reus and insist they've shown no interest in him despite suggestions to the contrary'. Bloody party-pooper.

VIDAL 'PACKING HIS BAGS' FOR UNITED

That's the line in Marca today, who believe that Arturo Vidal will soon be arriving on these very shores, something that would excite each and every one of us.

The paper claim that United will pay a fee of 40 million Euros for Vidal, in a deal that will also see Patrice Evra move to Juventus. It's a ballsy stance for Marca to take (and they have no shame in being wrong on such matters), but a deal does appear to be moving closer.

We're not getting carried away until he actually steps off the plane, but wheeeeeeee.

CAVANI WANTS ENGLAND MOVE

News brought to you by our friends at Sky Sports now, who claim that Edinson Cavani is very keen indeed on a move to the Premier League.

In fact, Cavani has instructed his agent to find him a taker in England, of which there would surely be plenty. A swap deal with Wayne Rooney was mooted for a while, whilst Liverpool obviously have a Uruguayan-shaped hole and Chelsea are still after further forward options.

One thing is for sure, Cavani will not come cheap.

JANMAAT DEAL CLOSE TO COMPLETION

For a while it seemed that Daryl Janmaat may be heading to Manchester United, but it appears that Newcastle have won the race to land the Dutch defender.

Janmaat has reportedly flown over for a medical in Newcastle after the club agreed a fee of around £5million for the Feyenoord player who enjoyed a fine World Cup campaign.

With Matthieu Debuchy close to sealing his move to Arsenal, Janmaat looks a very sensible addition to a club seemingly intent on investment after staunch criticism for their failure to do so in previous windows. Newcastle are back, baby.

AND THE REST...
Well just go here, you greedy guts. It's all-you-can-eat for free.
