LIVERPOOL BACK IN FOR BERTRAND
After a move for Alberto Moreno hit the buffers, the Daily Mail claim Liverpool are back in for Ryan Bertrand as Brendan Rodgers steps up his search for a new left-back.

It's thought that Chelsea will demand £8m for Bertrand, however, which could prove a sticking point to a potential transfer given that he's clearly unwanted at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror report that the Reds are still chasing Dejan Lovren for around £20m and add: '(Rodgers) has sounded out Juventus over Chile World Cup star Arturo Vidal, and is also an admirer of Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus, who could be available this summer for around £25m.'

Reus for £25m? That's probably the most ridiculous rumour we've read all summer.

SPURS LEAD CHASE FOR VLAAR
After completing deals for Ben Davies and Michel Vorm, Tottenham are hoping to further strengthen their defence with a bid for Aston Villa's World Cup star, Ron Vlaar.

'Roncrete' has been the subject of much speculation following his impressive performances for the Netherlands in Brazil, and has also been linked with Manchester United and Southampton.

'Tottenham are considering a move for Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar and could use midfielder Lewis Holtby as a makeweight,' report the Mail.

'Tottenham are also prepared to offer Michael Dawson in a player-plus-cash deal but he is reluctant to leave London.'

QPR WANT ETO'O
According to the Daily Mirror, Harry Redknapp is hoping to bring Samuel Eto'o to QPR following the expiry of his Chelsea contract.

The striker is also wanted by Juventus, who see the 34-year-old as ideal cover for the injured Alvaro Morata.

However, the Mirror report that Eto'o's agent, Claudio Vigorelli, is flying to London to try and agree terms with QPR.

'Wages could be a stumbling block though - it will be down to Eto'o to fall into line with QPR's pay structure for an agreement to happen,' report the Mirror.

'The Cameroon international is keen to stay in London after his year down the road at Stamford Bridge, which ended on a sour note after Jose Mourinho questioned his age.'
