UNITED BID FOR DI MARIA
Manchester United have slapped in a £55m offer for Angel Di Maria after PSG cooled their interest in the winger, according to the Daily Express.
PSG are thought to be still considering a move for Di Maria, but club president Nasser Al Khelaifi said this week: "We discussed Angel Di Maria with Real Madrid. He was very expensive and we have stopped discussions."
It seems United are now leading the race for the Argentine's signature, with the Express reporting: 'Fox Sports journalist Christian Martin took to Twitter to reveal that United have returned with an enormous offer, and Di Maria could pen a five-year-deal worth a whopping £120,000-per-week.'
Hmmm. That doesn't sound too convincing to us.
SONG ALSO ON UNITED LIST
Another player who could be joining United from La Liga is former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song.
The 26-year-old is thought to be surplus to requirements at Barcelona, but is wanted by Louis van Gaal if United fail in their bid for Arturo Vidal.
'Chelsea had expressed interest in the 26-year-old before signing Fabregas, with new Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino also keeping tabs on Song's situation,' report the Express.
'However, the player is holding out for a move to Old Trafford this summer, and will be hoping that Vidal's protracted transfer from Italy fails to materialise in order to play under Van Gaal.'
DORTMUND FACE REUS FIGHT
Borussia Dortmund are braced for big bids for Marco Reus after Arsenal and Manchester United joined Liverpool in expressing an interest in the forward.
'The Premier League trio, along with German champions Bayern Munich, have all been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, with Arsenal said to be weighing up a £19.8m offer,' report the Metro.
'But any prospective suitors for the midfielder will have a battle on their hands to convince Dortmund to sell their prized asset.
'"[We will] definitely try to keep him long term," Borussia's sporting director Michael Zorc told Sport1.
'"Marco is not only a hugely important player for us because of his athletic performance, but also in his role as a poster boy."'
