Isco wants out and could join Liverpool or Arsenal, who are apparently ready to bid big for Edinson Cavani in January.

RODGERS TO WAIT FOR RADAMEL
"The money is there - and we will look to improve at the top end of the field until the very end of the window," is the quote from Brendan Rodgers, and The Daily Mirror's interpretation is that the Liverpool boss has 'promised to pursue a world class striker right up to midnight on deadline day'

"It's not easy to get a top level striker, no. But we have to keep looking. We certainly need something, because we haven't brought in another striker so far, apart from Rickie Lambert," said Rodgers, who is apparently prepared to wait until the final day of the window to offer Radamel Falcao a route out of France on a year-long loan deal.

Bizarrely, the report mentions Edison Cavani almost as a back-up option, while Samuel Eto'o is described as a 'last resort'. The next two weeks are going to be very interesting indeed.

UNITED TURN TO GUARIN
What do you do if you can't get Arturo Vidal? Well, you turn to Fredy Guarin, apparently. Guarin has been linked roughly 427 times with moves to England but still remains at Inter Milan, where he's being rather more attacking than Vidal at Juventus. Surely United need somebody who can put their foot in?

Anyway, the Daily Star - who obviously read Friday evening's Corriere dello Sport - claim that Louis van Gaal is looking at Guarin. Is he in the bracket of players that Van Gaal mentioned when admitting his squad was weaker than he would like.

"I wanted to assess my team," said the Dutchman. "I can judge only when I am the coach and I transfer my philosophy and know how they perform. So that's what I am doing. I think that is honest. We have to wait and see, because you can buy a player in 24 hours, believe me. That's not a problem."

Go on then...
