United are in for Raphael Varane, Liverpool and United want Sinkgraven (sort of), Arsenal want everyone...
UNITED MAY NOT PURSUE DI MARIA
Despite the Daily Star reporting that Manchester United now lead the race for Angel Di Maria, the Daily Express claim the club may have cooled their interest in the winger.
Di Maria has made it clear that he wants to leave Real Madrid this summer, but Louis van Gaal is apparently reluctant to bring him to Old Trafford as it may disrupt Adnan Januzaj's development.
'Sources at Untied suggest that Louis van Gaal is a huge fan of youngster Adnan Januzaj and does not want to cramp his development by bringing in Di Maria, who would cost a club record fee in excess of £40million, especially with Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata filling the other attacking positions,' report the Express.
'United's priority, despite the arrival of Rojo, is still to further strengthen their defence and midfield, although another Real player Sami Khedira also does not appear to be on their immediate radar with only 10 days left before the transfer window closes.'
BUT THEY DO WANT KHEDIRA
Manchester United could be set to return for Sami Khedira after the midfielder intimated that he wants to leave Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti revealed that Khedira has rejected a new deal on Thursday, which could pave the way for United to make another bid for the Germany international after pursuing him last summer.
'In more positive news for United fans, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is bullish about bringing in two more players before the transfer window closes,' report the Mail.
'Di Maria has been target for United boss Louis van Gaal all summer while he knows Khedira from his time in Germany.'
TOTTENHAM WANT REMY
According to the Daily Star, Spurs are plotting a late bid to sign Loic Remy from QPR as Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen his attack before the end of the window.
However, Spurs will have to pay £11m for the striker - £2.5m more than the fee Liverpool agreed - as the release clause in Remy's contract only allows him to leave for a cut-price fee if the bidding club is in the Champions League.
'Michael Dawson, Andros Townsend or Tom Carroll could be offered as makeweights,' report the Star.
'Spurs would also be open to loaning Nabil Bentaleb or Etienne Capoue to newly-promoted Rangers to help get a deal done.'
Meanwhile, Spurs are closing in on Sevilla defender Federico Fazio, who will cost around £8m.
