UNITED AFTER DUTCH PAIR
With no footballers left in the Netherlands national squad that haven't been linked to Manchester United this summer, it's time to go back to the start and give some players another crack of the whip.

The Daily Star claim that Nigel de Jong and Daley Blind will be the next two through the door at Old Trafford, and it's an 'exclusive' so you know it's all good.

The paper report that De Jong will be brought in from Milan for a fee of £10m, whilst Blind will cost United £16m. If Angel Di Maria comes in for a reported £60m, that would take the club's summer spending to the £150m mark. We're into warchest territory.

Rather nicely, the Star also slip in a claim that Di Maria is wanted by Barcelona too. Now just listen here.

WELBECK WANTS SPURS

It's a rumour that just won't go away, no matter how unlikely it seems. We rather feel that given their current injury predicament, Louis van Gaal would be loathed to let any versatile player leave the club, but the Mirror are today again going in on claims that Danny Welbeck is seeking a move to White Hart Lane.

The paper report that Welbeck's desire to move has been increased by Angel Di Maria's impending arrival at Old Trafford, and claim he has 'told pals he is keen to move'. Hmmm.

The Mirror themselves ran a story last week claiming that Welbeck won't be allowed to join a rival club, so whether they managed to actually land Welbeck for the £15m mooted remains to be seen.

CECH TO FRANCE ON LOAN?

'Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is to spend this season on loan in France' is the tagline on a piece in the Sunday Express, so that's pretty cut and dry - they think it's a done deal.

To say that such news seems rather notable, the Express don't exactly give much credence to their claim. The story is just six lines in total, and also contains the phrase 'Cech looks likely to be sacrificed'. Well know you are going soft on us.

It is clear that Jose Mourinho knows he must cut one foreign player from his Premier League squad but, despite Cech clearly not being happy to remain a No. 2, it must constitute a risk to leave 41-year-old Mark Schwarzer as the second choice.
