Gareth Bale to United for less than Real paid (really), Spurs in for Berahino, Arsenal want Kramer and Schneiderlin...

Louis van Gaal has warned his Manchester United squad to expect plenty of changes in the last four days of the transfer window.

United have been linked with moves for Arturo Vidal and Daley Blind, while a number of players are tipped to leave before Monday's deadline.

"I had a conversation with the players after lunch and I said, after this weekend, we shall maybe have another group," said Van Gaal.

"Players will go away and others will come in. We have to wait and see (who they are)."

Tom Cleverley is a target for Aston Villa, Hull and Valencia, while Shinji Kagawa could complete a £10m move back to Borussia Dortmund by the end of the day.

Arsenal hope to strengthen their defence with a £12m move for Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Gunners are set to meet Dortmund in the Champions League again this season, but before that they hope to pinch their 26-year-old centre-half as a replacement for Thomas Vermaelen.

'Arsenal boss Wenger is desperate for a defender after selling Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona for £15m as he needs cover at centre-half,' report the Mirror.

'Papastathopoulos - commonly known as Sokratis - is surplus to requirements at Dortmund, where Neven Subotic and Mats Hummels are the first-choice centre-backs, and the deal could get the green light.'

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger is still hoping to conclude a deal for PSG's Adrien Rabiot.

After being told he can leave Manchester United this summer, Danny Welbeck is reportedly a loan target for Tottenham.

According to the Daily Star, Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to bolster his attacking options before Monday's deadline, with Welbeck at the top of his shortlist.

'Starsport understands the north London club have withdrawn their interest in a permanent deal for the England hitman but are still keen to persure a loan deal,' report the Star.

'Tottenham's interest in (Alex) Song however is understood to have waned, with further negotiations now unlikely to take place.'
