According to The Sun, Marcos Rojo's transfer to Manchester United is under threat owing to complications over the defender's third-party ownership.

Rojo was officially unveiled as a United player ten days ago, but the 24-year-old will not be able to play for the club until they obtain a work permit.

'Marcos Rojo may never complete his £16million move to Manchester United,' The Sun report.

'On top of work permit problems, the issues around the Argentine defender's third-party ownership have still not been resolved more than a week after his move from Sporting Lisbon.'

In brighter news for United, the club have apparently agreed a fee with Ajax for versatile Dutch international Daley Blind.

It looks like there could be a raft of departures at Manchester City in the next few days as a number of players search for new clubs.

According to The Sun, Micah Richards, Scott Sinclair, John Guidetti and Matija Nastasic have all been told to find new clubs before Monday's transfer deadline.

Alvaro Negredo has also been linked with an exit as Real Madrid ponder a loan move for the striker, but Manuel Pellegrini is keen to keep him in Manchester.

Daniel Agger could be set for a £3m return to Brondby, report the Daily Mail.
