Fernando Forestieri: Currently nursing a hamstring complaint

The highly-rated forward has been a revelation at Vicarage Road since arriving in England on a season-long loan from Udinese over the summer.

The 22-year-old has, however, been struck down by a hamstring complaint and is currently spending a spell on the sidelines as a result.

Watford are wary of expecting too much, too soon from the youngster and are planning to ease him back into Gianfranco Zola's first team plans.

"We mustn't expose him to the chance of further injury by returning him to training too early," the Hornets' head of medical Marco Cesarini told the club's official website.

"We are monitoring him daily; it's better he's at the right level of fitness before he returns to the group."

Watford are also hoping to welcome John Eustace, Jonathan Bond and Nyron Nosworthy back into the fold in the not too distant future.

Cesarini added: "There are three players - Eustace, Bond and Nosworthy - who are going to be resume full training this week.

"So we'll be keeping an eye on everyone. We want to stay in good shape as a squad before the high volume of Christmas matches is with us."
