The Baggies are currently in eighth spot in the table following a promising start to the season, but they have lost their last two league games to Manchester City and Newcastle by conceding last-minute goals.
Morrison is keen to get over the disappointment of those two heartbreaking defeats when they play host to Southampton on Monday night after admitting he nearly cried after the late defeat at Newcastle.
"If we want to get into the top six when those chances come you've got to put them away," admitted Morrison
"The dressing room was very flat and we almost wanted to shed a tear as we played really well.
"We were the only team that looked like winning. Their second goal was particularly difficult to take.
"We've got a long week as we don't play until Monday night and we've got a chance at home where we've got a good record this season.
"It's a good opportunity to get three points and forget about what happened on Sunday. We need to move on as quickly as possible."
