Clarke: Keen to sell Dorrans

Albion have already rejected bids from QPR for defender Jonas Olsson and striker Peter Odemwingie.

Clarke has no problem with clubs wanting to sign his players if they adhere to the correct procedures but believes they will be wasting their time.

Clarke said: "No one is for sale except Graham Dorrans. We don't want to sell anyone.

"The players know the situation. They know what's what at the club. I don't think anyone really wants to go anywhere.

"There are one or two who've not been involved a lot that will look to go out but that's normal in any squad. The boys are all happy here.

"You see it every day in training, the way they work, the appetite they've got for the game. More importantly, you see it on a matchday. You can tell the squad is in a good place."

As regards Dorrans, Clarke said: "Graham's position is exactly the same. If it's good for the club and good for Graham to do something in January, we will do it.

"If it's not, he will stay for the rest of the season and we will reassess the situation."

Clarke is prepared to allow England Under-21 defender Craig Dawson to go out on loan to gain valuable experience.

He said: "Craig is a top prospect and a top talent. He's been unfortunate that Jonas Olsson and Gareth McAuley have been outstanding and also Gabriel Tamas when he's played.

"At some stage between now and the end of the season, if he doesn't get in the team here and Jonas, Gareth and Gabriel are okay, I would like Craig to go out and get some games.

"It would be temporary, for sure, because he's got a big future in the game."
