Vydra joined West Brom in August on a season-long loan from Udinese, but suffered a thigh injury on his first start for the club against Newport County in the Capital One Cup.

The Czech Republic international has not been involved in his country's recent World Cup qualifiers, but feels he is now ready to play in the Premier League again.

"The first prognosis saw me out for four weeks," Vydra, who has made two substitute appearances in the league for West Brom, told chovanecsport.cz.

"For me to be able to join the national side, it was not good enough. West Brom wanted me to recover completely and be ready at 100 per cent.

"Now I feel in perfect shape. The leg doesn't hurt and I'm ready.

"I played 60 minutes for the reserve team against Reading and even scored. Then another 45 minutes for the first team versus a youth side from Derby County.

"Everything was fine. I have been in training with the first team for quite some while already and endure the full burden without any problems."

Since Vydra suffered his injury in late August, West Brom have boosted their attacking options further by signing Victor Anichebe and Stephane Sessegnon before the transfer window closed.

Vydra, who impressed on loan at Watford last season, is aware of the competition for places, but he is determined to catch manager Clarke's eye.

He added: "You could expect that new players would come because we did not have a good start to the season at all.

"Two new forwards arrived and Anelka is back. So, now we have about seven forwards and use two. There's nothing you can do.

"I know I have to work hard to convince the manager. Nobody has a place in the XI for granted."
