Belgium forwards Benteke and Lukaku have both made a considerable impact for Midlands clubs, at Aston Villa and West Brom respectively.
And Albion frontman Anichebe feels he can learn plenty from closely-monitoring the pair, even with them each being younger than him.
The 25-year-old Nigerian, quoted by the Birmingham Mail, said: "I do look at the top players - the players I aspire to reach the level of.
"There's Benteke for example, I know he's younger than me but I think he's a really quality player.
"Lukaku's gone to Everton. I think he's a really good player, and I look at people similar to me.
"I look at the positions other players take up and I try to learn from it, so that's something I'm going to try to adopt more into my game."
Chelsea's Lukaku, who had been on a season-long loan with West Brom last term, signed a similar deal with Everton on transfer deadline day while Anichebe left the Toffees to sign for Albion.
