The 29-year-old joined Albion on a season-long loan last summer, with a view to a permanent move to The Hawthorns.

Amalfitano has become a fans' favourite after scoring four goals, one of which came in the 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier this season.

He admits he has adapted well to life in England having arrived from Marseille, and is enjoying the challenge of playing Premier League football, saying the division is 'fascinating'.

"I don't know everything but I knew the season at Marseille would be difficult," Amalfitano told L'Equipe. "I knew it would not go off smoothly.

"In England I found what I was looking for. I wanted to find fun again, and discover something new. That experience has been enriching both for my family and on a sporting level.

"The Premier League is fascinating and of a very high standard."

Amalfitano's fine form under previous Albion boss Steve Clarke and current manager Pepe Mel has reportedly drawn envious glances from a number of clubs, with Everton, West Ham, Hull City and Sevilla all believed to be interested in a summer move for the Frenchman.

Marcelo Bielsa is close to being appointed as Marseille's head coach for next season, and reports suggest he is also keen to have Amalfitano among his squad.

The attacking midfielder is not worrying about his future until the end of the season, though, with West Brom still fighting for their Premier League survival with just three games remaining.

"I will manage my future when the season will be over. I really don't know where I will play next year," he said.

m not sure about this distance covered malarky, plus that stat comes with *since February attached to it, that's just 1 month. I mean I have 27 open cases I'm 'working on' at the moment but believe me others with 10 cases work harder than I do. I just got back from a pub lunch, scampi and chips (+4 pints) in case you were wondering.
