The 20-year-old stopper has already spent the first three months of the season on loan at Sixfields, and has impressed with the quality of his performances over 16 appearances.

Nicholls, who played nine times for Accrington last season, is set to start when Aidy Boothroyd's men travel to York on Tuesday night.
