The Danish international has eight goals in 14 starts so far this season, and he is expected to move on this summer.

Wigan and Crystal Palace have both been linked with the 6ft 7in forward, and Brondby are believed to be looking for around £4million for Makienok.

"He is a skilled player who we would like to hold on to as long as we can," sporting director Per Rud told Danish newspaper BT.

"Conversely, there is also an understanding that if the right offer comes for both Simon and Brondby, then we will look at it."
