The 23-year-old Wigan midfielder, who made the temporary switch to Brunton Park in February, this week agreed to stay on for the rest of the campaign.

He told the Cumbrians' website: "I had a call off (operations manager) Matt Jackson at Wigan and he said he'd been told I was doing well.

"He asked me if I wanted to stay and I said yes straight away. I'm just glad it's all sorted now.

"I'm not sure about my long-term future at the moment because I haven't had the chance to speak to Wigan.

"I'm just concentrating on playing my football here now. We want to get our league status secured as early as possible so we can really enjoy the end of the season."

All the mourinho apologists if you only care about the result why watch the game at all or any game for that matter. It made me laugh how they all turned up on twitter to criticise pep when mourinho couldn't even get this far.
