Karl Henry: Says players are right behind Wolves boss

Solbakken is feeling the heat following a run of nine games without a win which has seen Wolves plummet from third place to 18th in the Championship, with Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat to Millwall greeted by a chorus of boos from the Molineux faithful.

Local press reports on Thursday morning suggested several senior Wolves players had urged Solbakken to change his tactics during a post-match team meeting on Wednesday, claims which have been rejected by the Norwegian as well as skipper Henry.

And the midfielder has gone on to get behind Solbakken, telling Wolves' official website: "What was in the report wasn't correct. We always have meetings after matches and are encouraged to have our say, but we all know that the manager has the final responsibility.

"We were talking about recent second-half performances and why they have not matched the standards shown in the first half. And everyone is right behind the manager in what we are trying to do, which is to try and find a winning formula. We all know what has happened is not good enough, it's a results-based business and the players' performances over the last nine games haven't reached the right level.

"We've been through testing times and we need results quickly. We think we are better than where we are at the moment but it's one thing saying it, we need to show it on the pitch.

"The manager, the coaches and players are all on the same page, we all have the same aim - promotion. We all know things need to improve quickly, and they will."
