Wanderers have been criticised on many occasions this term for following positive first-half performances with below-par displays after the break.

But that was not the case in Saturday's derby clash as Wolves stirred from a slow start, nicked a 34th-minute winner courtesy of Marlon King's own goal, and built up a head of steam after the interval.

It was enough to end the club's long wait for a home win at the seventh attempt.

"We talked at half-time that we should start with a high tempo because I think we finished the first half gradually better, there were not as many technical mistakes," boss Solbakken said.

"We struggled in the first half, especially with the left-hand side defensively, Birmingham played very easily through us there and I said to Sako after the game that he started half-an-hour after the 5.20pm kick-off.

"In the second half he destroyed them, really. And Bjorn (Sigurdarson) came more into the pitch and they struggled more to keep up with our pace."

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
