Cassidy leads the scoring charts for the League One leaders with 11 goals in 26 starts this term.

The Wales Under-21 international returned to parent club Wolves last week and started their first game under new boss Dean Saunders - Friday night's 1-1 draw against Blackburn.

"We spoke to Wolves," Moore told Tranmere's official website. "Brian Carey, the assistant manager, phoned me on Saturday morning and said they're going to monitor his work rate and improvement and that he'll keep me up to date on a weekly basis.

"In the meantime we've got a lot of games to play and they're going to have a real good look at him so we're probably looking somewhere else."

Moore is not afraid to enter the loan market in seach of youth once more but would prefer a traditional target man to operate alongside his livewire, pacy attacking options.

"Trying to find them is the hard part. We've got (David) Amoo, (Jean-Louis) Akpa Akpro, (Adam) McGurk, Cole (Stockton) and (Michael) O'Halloran, so it's not like we're short. I'm not going to bring a kid in and try to teach him the ropes.

"Amoo has got pace, Akpa Akpro has got pace, O'Halloran has got pace - so we've got three very similar players. I think we need something different, not only in their box but also in our box defensively.

"We need to add a bit more height to our team. I want something different. If you look at (Abdulai) Bell-Baggie, Amoo, O'Halloran and Akpa Akpro there is some pace there and any one of them could play alongside a target man."

m only commenting on this (I don't care about Liverpool) because F365's twitter said I had call Matt Stanger a tw*t (which I don't agree with anyway) but I just wanted to be the first. Am I the first?

Trial And Error Rather Than Transition

S

unday, Sunday. Will there be a fan of either team, who if they are winning after 80 mins, won't still be nervous? This could be anything from 0-0 to 5-5, and no one would bat an eye.
