Stephen Hunt: Was shocked by behaviour of some Wolves fans

Hunt, who made his first Championship start of the season at Molineux following hip surgery, was "shocked" to hear his 64th minute substitution met with cheers from some fans.

He was also unimpressed with the negative chanting ahead of Bakary Sako's late equaliser, which handed second-bottom Wolves an important point as they fight for survival this season.

While Republic of Ireland international Hunt says the supporters can be "fantastic", the 31-year-old admits he felt embarrassed on Friday.

"I was shocked when they cheered me coming off," he told the Birmingham Mail. "Thanks for that lads. It was my first start in a long time.

"The fans can be fantastic but they can also be against us as well and that didn't help.

"I am not going to worry about what happened when I came off. It was more of a shock to me when I was sat there listening to them singing horrific songs.

"It is embarrassing, it is just embarrassing.

"They may boo me for saying that but I have always been honest.

"They can be fantastic as well so don't get me going all the one way here.

"But to be the way they were, to roll off five of six songs in a row of the calibre they did then they need to have a look at themselves."

And another thing... How DARE a Liverpool fan come on here and tell us how to support our club?! We are a club who, less than two years ago, had seven points from 9 in the Premier League and is now in serious danger of being relegated to League 1. Have you ever experienced such a fall from grace Liverpool fan? Oh no, boohoo you don't win the League like you used to in the 80s and you've got a striker who no one likes. It must be such a hard life only playing in the UEFA cup! And you have the gall to come on here and tell us how to behave? How dare you?!

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
