The 30-year-old, who was most recently with Finnish side Honka, played over 110 times for Hearts and has penned a deal at Huish Park until the end of the season after a successful trial spell.

"He's a Spanish footballer and that tells you it all, already," boss Gary Johnson told the Western Gazette. "He's comfortable on the ball, he sees a pass and he's a good athlete.

"He needed to spend a couple of weeks with us to find his fitness and get back into the English way of playing."
